Kaija Kirch is an ID expert at the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board. She is leading the identification and identity management issues within the Estonian Police. Her previous jobs include Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior where she was leading visa policy and identity documents policy issues, and the IT and Development Centre of the Ministry of the Interior where she was dealing with information security and personal data protection matters. Her latest posting before starting the current job at the Estonian Police was the British Embassy in Tallinn where she held the position of the Cyber Policy Officer, leading the UK cyber policy engagements in the Nordic-Baltic region. Kaija Kirch holds a MA in sociology from Tallinn University.
