Kristel Teyrass is the Chair of the Digital Identity Workgroup of the Secure Identity Alliance (www.secureidentityalliance.org), the organization dedicated to supporting the provision of legal, trusted identity for all, and to drive the development of inclusive digital services necessary for sustainable, worldwide economic growth and prosperity.  

The SIA ‘Digital Identity’ Workgroup supports the development and adoption of secure, trusted, effective and inclusive digital services.

Kristel works as a Market Owner at Gemalto, the Digital Identity & Security Business Line at Thales Group, and is in charge of the Digital Identity Services portfolio within the company’s Identity and Biometrics Solutions to best support government programs. Current focus areas include mobile-based digital identity credentials (mobile identity, mobile driving licenses, mobile healthcare, digital travel credentials) as well as digital identity services platforms and her role encompasses the assessment of market needs, trends, analysis of ecosystems to translate it into new features and business models.

Passionate about digital identity and developments around mobile identity services, she is dedicated fully to the development of those fast-growing applications to best support innovation and the digital transformation of the public sector.

She looks back on more than 18 years of experience in marketing, and 10 spent in the identification, authentication and digital security industry.

Kristel holds a Master in International Business & Administration and a postgraduate diploma passed with distinction in Business Growth & Marketing Strategy.
