Mr Zeger Baelde is the Managing Director for operations at the Netherlands Vehicle Authority (RDW). He is responsible for all operations, IT and corporate finance. Mr Baelde was active as a chartered accountant in financial services. Since 1997 he switched to the government sector.  He gained extensive experience in different roles as Head of Finance, Manager of the IT Division, Manager of Registration division at RDW. 

Mr Baelde is a graduate from the University of Maastricht, educated in economics, accountancy, auditing and compliance sciences.

 
Next to his duties being responsible for RDW’s daily operation, his special fields of interest are innovating government business processes and related to that electronic identities. Zeger was one of the great promoters of the work on mobile Driving Licence in ISO.
