Mind The Gap: Will the most Common Identity in the World be the Mobile Driving License?
The Mind the Gap session “Will the most Common Identity in the World be the Mobile Driving License?” is organized in a Round Table format for all interested delegates to participate and discuss various topics such as the (“ISO 18013 part 5 - ISO/IEC JTC1/SC17/WG10”) for the standardization of the mobile Driving License and standardized features/requirements for Mobile Driving License. Also, discussions will include AAMVA´s and EReg´s different working group topics and results. Some associations, outside the Driving License area, have addressed interest to use the forthcoming ISO 18013 Part 5 and its technologies to other vertical markets.

The Mind the Gap Session will be opened by Geoff Slagle (AAMVA) and Servi Beckers (EReg) short presentations will take place by:

Simo Karppinen, Head of Unit (Finnish Transport Safety Agency, Traficom) in Finland, will address the latest implementation results of a Mobile Driving License in his country.

Arjan Geluk and Vangelis Sakkopoulos will address the latest results from the ongoing ISO JTC1/SC17/WG10 (18013 Part 5) standard and with ISO team Members setting the future of the mDL for 2.5 Billion Driving License Users and working hard making the new ISO Standard public on the second semester of 2020. They will also address the latest results of the Interoperability Test Party in Nebraska, Omaha in USA, taking place on the 18-19th of August 2019.
